What's New With Us
Well, March saw us finish up our winter stay at Thunderbird RV Park in Campbell River, BC. I put together a short review video for folks who may be interested.
Just before we left, though, we took a scenic and interesting ride aboard a floatplane doing its mail run to three remote communities in the Discovery Islands. Anne had picked up a 2-for-1 deal for Christmas from CorilAir. The views were amazing!
We broke camp on March 14th and traveled a short distance down the island to Miracle Beach Provincial Park. I didn’t want to go too far on the first trip after the RV had been stationary over the winter. Everything ran fine, though, no issues.
Also, it’s one of our favorite parks on the island, and winter camping rates were still in effect. $13 bucks a night! About 9.50 USD. We enjoyed 6 nights there. It was chilly and rained on and off, but very peaceful this time of year. Between rain systems, we were able to get out and explore the forest hiking trails and enjoy the beach views.
The last part of March has been spent visiting with some family and friends on Vancouver Island. Soon, we’ll be headed back over to the BC mainland and up to Lund to spend April camped there while prepping our boat “Vestri” for a launch sometime in early May. Stay tuned…
